We offer:

New baby check up and advice – including breast feeding your baby and settling & sleeping

Childhood immunisations

Monitoring your child’s health and development – early screening for visual acuity, hearing, coordination as well as motor skills and other areas of development is essential in identifying any concerns

Diagnosing and managing childhood conditions such as asthma, diabetes, obesity and behavioural problems

Overweight and Obesity

Some lifestyle choices that can minimise the risk of childhood obesity are to avoid sugary foods and drink, to include 2 servings of fruit and 5 servings of vegetables each day, to minimise screen time and to stay active as a family.

Dental Health

Current recommendations are to start cleaning a child’s teeth with a soft toothbrush as soon as they erupt, to introduce a small amount of low fluoride toothpaste onto the brush at around 18 months of age and to switch to full fluoride toothpaste from school age.

Chronic Disease Management

Managing your long-term conditions optimally improves your quality of life, reduces long term complications as well as reducing healthcare costs.

If you suffer from a chronic disease, your GP is crucial to assist you in living with your condition. All our doctors are experienced in diagnosing and managing a range of chronic diseases, including:

Blood disorders

Chronic bowel conditions

Kidney or liver problems

Heart disease

High blood pressure

Chronic pain

Thyroid conditions

You may be eligible for a Medicare funded healthcare plan to assist you to manage your condition as well as maintain your health and fitness into the future – this support includes three monthly reviews and access to allied health providers at a subsidised cost. Please discuss with your doctor.

We encourage you to have your annual flu shot as the flu vaccine changes yearly to keep up with the most common strains. Vaccination from mid-April onwards is likely to result in peak immunity during the flu season.

Flu vaccines are also free for:

Pregnant women (a flu vaccine can be safely given at any stage of pregnancy)

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people 6 months and older

Patients with chronic conditions or are severely immuno-compromised

There is no fee for the consultation, just the cost of the flu vaccine, if applicable.
